Dasi Dance Movies

For those of you who would like to watch Dasi Dance, there are two Tamil movies that I would highly recommend.

1. Srirangam - Dance of Love. This movie which was made this year (2007) has won critical acclaim in India and among the dance community. Check it out at http://www.sringaramthefilm.com/sringaram_loader.html


2. Thillana Mohanambal. This is a beautiful movie made in 1968 is an all time classic. Its intelligent script was brought to life by two great Tamil movie stars who are evenly matched in looks and talent. Their onscreen chemistry adds depth and artistry to the tale of a love affair between a Dasi Dancer and a classical Nadaswaram (indian trumpet) musician.
