Staging a Dance Recital

In India staging a dance recital can be a very costly affair. The dancer has to hire the venue a live orchaestra and underwrite all printing and marketing costs. There is also the costs associated with photography and video recording of the show. None of this is cheap or easily available in India. The process is also fraught with uncertainties. I could not even get a price list on the cost of hiring a venue to stage a performance. The price will change depending on whether you are a foreign artist or local artist. It would also very much depend on who your guru is. If your guru is willing to make the necessary introductions things are much smoother. Otherwise it is a very complex process. Of course paying handsomely can change this dynamic immediately.
